Steps Of IUI Treatments

Sperm Preparation:

The first step involves both partners preparing for the procedure. For the male partner, this means providing a sperm sample that will be processed to concentrate the motile sperm. For the female partner, it might involve tracking her ovulation cycle to determine the best time for insemination.

Processing:

The sperm sample is then taken to a lab where it is “washed” and concentrated. This step evacuates any debasements and guarantees that the most elevated quality sperm are chosen for the method.

Insemination:

At the right time in the female partner’s cycle, the prepared sperm is carefully inserted into the uterine cavity using a thin, flexible catheter. This is done in a doctor’s office and is relatively quick and minimally invasive.

Waiting:

After the procedure, the couple waits for about two weeks to see if pregnancy occurs. During this time, the female partner may be advised to take it easy and follow any specific instructions from her doctor. A pregnancy test will confirm if the process was successful.
